Red Before Black is a couple of my favourite self taught personal projects incorporating my obsession with the colour red. Focusing on photorealism, my goal with each small project was to push myself as a designer and get more comfortable inside Cinema 4D.
For each project, I wanted to take advantage of some of my photography knowledge and employ interesting compositions into each project with their own artistic directions/design, still pertaining to the colour of red.
I learnt a lot about lighting when creating these projects and how it works in a controlled and uncontrolled enviroment. Also understanding how materials react to light and how to control them to get the look that you are going for.
The title Red Before Black comes from the great band Cannibal Corpse.
